Overview

Discover Viðey with a ticket from Elding's ticket station in downtown Reykjavík, near the Old Harbour. Sail to Viðey Island and take a guided walking tour.

You'll get a glimpse into the island's trading history thanks to your guide. While there, you'll also visit the Imagine Peace Tower. The Imagine Peace Tower is an homage to John Lennon and Yoko Ono's campaign for world peace.

The tower is designed to look like a wishing well where the phrase 'Imagine Peace' is written in 24 languages. The tower is lit for one hour after sunset from October 9th til December 8th (John Lennon's day of birth and day of passing). Enjoy the Reykjavík skyline, a beautiful blend of urban and natural beauty. If you're lucky, you'll even catch a glimpse of the northern lights.
