Overview

Start the whale-watching tour at 9 AM or 1 PM; it lasts 2 to 3.5 hours. Sail into Faxaflói Bay and look for minke and humpback whales, dolphins, and harbour porpoises. View the mountains and islands around Reykjavik and observe the local bird life. Onboard, find warm overalls, heated indoor cabins, a bar, and free WiFi.

Afterward, spend some time ashore before heading out for the northern lights tour. The second part starts at 9 PM or 10 PM and lasts 2 to 3 hours. Sail to see the northern lights from the sea, a unique perspective in Iceland.
